How Do Afterpay Refunds Work?

If you paid using Afterpay, we notify Afterpay of the approved refund amount once your return has been processed.

Afterpay will then adjust your payment schedule accordingly. Refunds are first applied to any outstanding instalments. If you have already made payments and the refund exceeds your remaining balance, the difference will be refunded back to the credit or debit card linked to your Afterpay account.

Please allow 3–5 business days for your bank to process the returned funds once Afterpay has issued the refund.

Example

If your order total was $400, split into four instalments of $100, and you return items valued at $250:

  • Afterpay will cancel the remaining future instalments first.
  • Any amount already paid that exceeds the adjusted balance will be refunded to your original payment card via Afterpay.

In this scenario, the remaining instalments would be reduced or cancelled, and any overpaid amount would be returned to your card.

For our New Zealand customers:
Afterpay is not available at our New Zealand checkout. However, you can use your New Zealand Afterpay account by checking out through our Australian website here.

The exchange rate is fixed when you order using Afterpay. This guarantees that the refund amount in NZD will match the initial payment. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any supplementary fees charged by your bank. For detailed insights on this, we recommend reaching out to your banking provider.

All other countries:
Afterpay is not available at our international website checkouts. However, you can use your Afterpay account by checking out through our Australian website here.
